Today is the 1st of December, yey!
Only 24 days till Christmas. So time to start doing the Christmas shopping and for a lot of people, like myself, the Christmas list.
I learned with my mom that one should always treat oneself with a gift for Christmas, because after all, if you don’t love yourself, who will?
And so in case you are wondering, ‘what should I get myself this year?’ Or ‘what should I give to that special person, to show them my appreciation?’ Fear not, as I will give you my ultimate Feminist Christmas list for this year.
Here are my suggestions… Brace yourself cause this is gonna get HOT!
Why Women Have Sex: Understanding Sexual Motivations from Adventure to Revenge (and Everything in Between) by Cindy Meston and David Buss
An extraordinary journey through the female sexuality, studied and analysed by a clinical psychologist and an evolutionary psychologist. This book should be read by women and men alike, for a better understanding of the female sexual motivations.
This book was given to me by a dear friend and since then I have given this book to at least 5 of my female friends (for birthdays, breakups, Christmas and International Women’s Day) and to my husband. They all loved it.
This is What a Feminist Looks Like T-Shirt from Fawcett Society
Show your true colours, and shout out loud ‘I am a feminist’
This great T-shirt not only is a statement on itself, it also is good quality cotton and by buying it from Fawcett Society you will be helping “closing the inequality gap”.
And last but not least:
How To Be a Woman by Caitlin Moran
Absolutely amazing book, I just can’t recommend it enough.
Caitlin Moran is both hilarious and very eloquent. It reads like a friendly conversation between two people, thus I warn you: Careful if you are going to read it whilst on public transport, as you might find yourself nodding vociferously in agreement and laughing uncontrollably.
An amazing insight to the current feminist wave.
Without a doubt the greatest book in many years.
So there you go, I hope you enjoy this gifts just as much as I did.
